MISSION

Our mission is to persuasively present biblical principles in the centers of influence on issues affecting the family through research, communication, and networking.

 VISION

Our vision is to see a South Carolina where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished.

VALUES

Palmetto Family Alliance focuses on seven core areas as they relate to the family. Each value is represented by a star in our logo. Below are our values.

FAITH

We believe that we do not exist by chance and time, but by the direct act of God. Religious liberty should be protected by law and vibrant churches should be encouraged.

MARRIAGE

We believe that social fabric is only as strong as the bond between its husbands and wives. Children raised in homes where parents enjoy a strong marriage are more likely to be successful.

PARENTING

We believe that mothers and fathers must build character in their children to see that their values live on. Parenting should be active, intentional, and nurturing.

EDUCATION

We believe that learning is fundamental to success in life and that all schools – public, private, and home – should be driven by the wishes and active involvement of parents.

STEWARDSHIP

We believe that the earth and its fullness are a sacred trust. Natural, economic and family resources should be cherished as a gift from God.

COMMERCE

We believe that private enterprise, not government, is the engine of economic progress. Free enterprise, entrepreneurship and hard work should be taught and celebrated.

CULTURE

We believe that just like clean air and clean water, families deserve a clean society that treasures life, truth, justice and purity.

HISTORY

Palmetto Family Alliance began as the Legacy Alliance Foundation, a 501(c)(4) organization founded to fight the expansion of video poker.  When Legacy Alliance accomplished its goal of helping to shut down South Carolina’s highly addictive 33,000 video gambling machines, the name was changed to Palmetto Family Alliance and became governed by the board of Palmetto Family Council.

Palmetto Family Alliance 501(c)(4) “action/lobbying” organization allows engagement in both education and public policy activism. The Alliance takes positions on legislation, encourages citizen involvement, and holds legislators accountable for their votes on the issues.

FINANCIAL POLICY

Palmetto Family Alliance complies with all applicable state and federal laws. Our accounting practices and procedures are consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and are overseen and reviewed by a board of directors.

Palmetto Family Alliance holds to the highest legal and ethical standards in the solicitation and handling of donated funds. Donations are not tax-deductible.
